La Petite Marchande d'allumettes

The Little Match Girl.

I became obsessed with this Little Match Girl film by Jean Renoir that I recently viewed at the Telfair Museum in Savannah, GA. They currently have an exhibition entitled Twilight Visions: Surrealism, Photography, and Paris. I have never viewed such amazing photography. Anywho. They had this video on loop and I think I sat there and watched it 2 1/2 times before my husband said we need to move on. Of course I have read the Hans Christian Andersen fairy tale. I was entranced by the wonderful cinematography found in this little gem. Enjoy.
